Hami: Cozy Focus · last updated 30 October 2026

Short version: Hami keeps your progress on your phone. There is no account and no tracking. Hami shows a short ad only when you choose to watch one for bonus seeds, and none at all if you buy Remove Ads. What leaves your device: ad requests to Google, feedback you choose to send, and purchases handled by the App Store.

Who we are

Hami is made by PT Coretan Karya Digital ("Coretan", "we"). This policy explains what Hami does with your data. If anything here is unclear, write to support@coretan.dev.

Data on your device

Hami stores your focus sessions, progress, daily check-ins, seed balance, village items and their positions, hamster discoveries, and settings on your device. Hami does not send these records to a server we run.

Hami does not require an account. It does not use analytics services. The optional ads are covered under Ads.

Optional permissions

Notifications. Hami asks for notification permission only when you turn on a reminder. Reminders are scheduled on your device and do not use a remote push service.

Screen Time (Strict Focus). On iOS 16 or later, Strict Focus asks for Screen Time permission. Apple's picker lets you choose apps, categories, or websites to shield during a session. Hami stores the selection tokens and the session end time on your device, and shares them only with its own Device Activity Monitor extension through the Hami app group. Hami does not send these tokens anywhere. You can use the timer without this permission.

You can change both permissions in your device settings at any time.

Remove Ads purchase

Remove Ads is an optional one-time purchase made through Apple's App Store. It turns off ads and gives you the bonus seeds without watching one. Apple handles payment; Hami never sees your card or bank details.

To check whether Remove Ads is unlocked and to let you restore it on another device, Hami uses RevenueCat, a purchase-management service. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID that Hami creates on your device, your purchase receipt from Apple, and basic device information such as platform and app version. It does not receive your name, email, or focus data. RevenueCat's own policy is at revenuecat.com/privacy.

To restore a purchase or ask about a refund, open Settings in Hami. Refunds themselves are handled by Apple.

Ads

After a focus session, Hami can offer a short video ad that adds bonus seeds. Watching is your choice, and you get the seeds only if you watch to the end. Ads never play during a focus session. With Remove Ads, Hami shows no ads and adds the bonus seeds for you.

The ads come from Google AdMob. So an ad is ready when you want one, Hami asks AdMob for an ad in the background after it opens, unless you bought Remove Ads. When Hami asks for or shows an ad, Google's Mobile Ads SDK receives:

Google uses this data to show and measure ads, prevent fraud, and improve its services. Hami does not send Google your focus sessions, progress, feedback, or purchase details. Google explains its use in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

Your choices. Each time Hami opens, it asks Google whether your region needs a consent message. In the European Economic Area, the UK, and Switzerland, Hami shows Google's message, where you can consent, decline, or choose by purpose. If you decline, Google may still show limited ads that do not use your data to personalize them. You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy choices. Hami does not show the iOS “Allow tracking” prompt. On Android, you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings.

Feedback

Send Feedback in Settings is optional. When you send feedback, Hami sends your message, the label you choose, any screenshots you add, and your email address if you enter one to Jotback, the feedback service we use. Jotback also receives the app version, platform, operating system version, and language, plus app state that helps us reproduce problems: the theme, tutorial progress, whether a focus session is running, whether Strict Focus, its permission, and reminders are on, and how many sessions, hamsters, and items you have.

Feedback also includes your anonymous purchase ID, so we can look into a purchase problem. This links the report to your Remove Ads purchase history, but not to your name.

Feedback does not include the apps you chose for Strict Focus, your check-ins, or your reminder times. Screenshots show only Hami.

We use feedback only to answer you and improve Hami. Hami keeps a report on your device only until it is delivered, or for up to seven days if it cannot be delivered. We keep delivered reports for as long as we need them to answer you and fix the problem, then delete them. To ask us to delete your reports sooner, email support@coretan.dev.

Backup and data reset

Back Up Progress creates a JSON file and opens your device's share sheet. You decide where to save or share it; Hami does not upload it. Restore From Backup reads only the file you choose. The backup holds progress and settings, not your Screen Time selections. Copies you save elsewhere stay there until you delete them.

Clear Local Data resets game progress and settings, stops active shielding, and cancels Hami reminders. Screen Time picker selections are kept by iOS; reopen the picker to change them. Your Remove Ads purchase stays with your Apple account and can be restored.

Deleting Hami removes its local data from your device. Device backups made by Apple may keep an earlier copy under your own backup settings.

Children

Hami does not ask for an account, age, name, or contact details, and does not collect personal data from anyone, including children, beyond what is described above.
